The former home of Sir Sacheverell Sitwell, visited by his many literary friends

Located in a quiet Northamptonshire village, Weston Hall became a haunt for 20th century literary figures as the home of the writer Sir Sacheverell Sitwell, from 1923 until his death in 1988.

Weston Hall is open to the public most weekends by appointment.

Visits cost £8 for adults and £4 per children.

Visitors are welcome to enjoy the grounds.

Llama Trekking

Llamas are gentle, inquisitive animals that will make a walk in the countryside into something wonderful and unforgettable. Walking at a comfortable pace of around 2 miles an hour, you can’t actually ride them but these lovely pack animals will willingly carry your rucksack whilst you enjoy the beautiful scenery. What better way to get away from it all than by leading a gentle llama along bridleways, farm tracks and country lanes. A perfect way to de-stress! Why not make a short break of it, come and explore this undiscovered part of the English countryside.

We have treks to suit everyone. We can organise a children’s party they will never forget, memorable corporate days, fun hen parties, or you can even buy a trekking voucher to give as a gift. We don’t just trek, we also breed llamas and during the summer months you can visit our mums and babies. Inside our log cabin visitor centre, you can see a range of goods we make from our llama fibre and sell alongside many other llama related gifts that will remind you of your visit to Catanger.

Canons Ashby

A tranquil Elizabethan manor house set in beautiful 18th-century gardens

Built by the Drydens using the remains of a medieval priory, the house and gardens have survived largely unaltered since 1710 and are presented as they were during the time of Sir Henry Dryden, a Victorian antiquary, passionate about the past.

Sunday May 4th Road Closers

If you intend to arrive or depart BEFORE 13:30 you must approach the pub from the B4525 south of Weston.

Continue on the B4525 until you approach signposts to Helmdon.  Follow signs to Helmdon.  Continue through Helmdon until you go over a bridge and reach a little green where you then need to take the left turn followed by a right turn up the hill to approach Weston.

 

 

If you intend to arrive or depart AFTER13:15 customers must do so via BLAKESLEY, Woodend and Plumpton.

From Quinbury End head Southbound down Blakesely High Street continue following signs to Weston.

 

If you approach traffic marshalls please inform them of your destination and they will help direct you.
